Awards:After graduating from Schreiber H.S. Coach Wilson-Piraino attended Division I Hofstra University on a lacrosse scholarship. During her collegiate career she received the Coach's award in '94 and led her team to win the N.A.C. Conference Championships during her senior year. She also helped her team to establish a then record breaking 13-3 season and finish undefeated in conference play. During post-season play she was named to the All-Tournament Team as an attack player and also earned the Academic/Athlete award from the North Atlantic Conference. Raquel has also played on the National Tournament Team in '95,'97, and '98 as well as a participant in the Empire State Games and the Vail Shoot-Out .

Summary:
Ms. Romano is in her third season of coaching at Schreiber. Ms. Romano came to Port Washington after coaching the Garden City Girls Junior Varsity Lacrosse team in 2006 and 2007. Mary worked with the State Championship Garden City Trojans and had the opportunity to coach in the 2007 Under Armor All-American Girls Lacrosse Game in Baltimore.  Mary attended Hofstra University on a lacrosse scholarship, graduated in 2005, and was an Academic All-American. The 2005 Pride were CAA Regular Season Champions.  Mary graduated from Baldwin Senior High School in 2001 where she was a varsity soccer, track and lacrosse player receiving All-County and All-Long Island accolades in lacrosse. Mary was a member of the New York State Empire Girls Lacrosse Team and represented the New York region in the National High School Girls Lacrosse Tournament. Ms. Romano is currently a Physical Education teacher at Weber Middle School and continues to play lacrosse for the NYAC woman's lacrosse team.
